Ardennes Flamme Rouge

In late 2007 our Ardennes C2 wheels slipped into the cycling world almost unnoticed. Not only have they been noticed, they’re the life of the party. The media praise them highly for their stunning cornering grip, lower rolling resistance, and ride comfort. With scandium rims, titanium skewer and hub hardware, new rear wheel lacing pattern, and a new grease port rear hub, the Ardennes FR are the finest low profile wheels we have built to date.

Ardennes SL

Ardennes SL is our best selling wheel and for good reason. It is the original Ardennes and for 2011 is upgraded with a carbon front hub and a new rear wheel lacing pattern to enhance power transmission and lateral stiffness. The SL utilizes the same high performance scandium C2 rim as its big brother the Ardennes Flamme Rouge.

Ardennes LT

Nearly identical to the Ardennes SL, the LT switches the scandium C2 rim for a more economical aluminum one. Despite fitting into the middle of our Ardennes line up, we believe this wheel still stacks up to any of our competitors’ best offerings.

Ardennes CL

Sharing all the same advantages as the Ardennes FR, the Ardennes CL (Classic) is more suitable for ultimate longevity, larger riders, and/or Cyclocross. With its classic look and ride, the CL is a favorite everyday wheel for the professionals we work with.

Ardennes GP

C2 speed and ride performance combined with “install it” and “forget it” durability. With very competitive weight and amazing C2 ride, the Ardennes GP outperforms the flagship wheel offerings from other companies. And... it crushes them at the cash register.

Scorpio Flamme Rouge

Scorpios weigh a mere 1185g and have amazing stiffness for climbing efficiency. This wheelset combines Hed’s vaunted aerodynamics for eye-watering speed on the flats, and SCT (Stability Control Technology) tuning for excellent handling on descents and crosswinds. Despite this being a climb specific wheel set we are rather proud of it’s aerodynamics. Through many refinements we are able to produce a 33mm deep wheel that outperforms our competitor’s wheels that are up to 90mm deep! Sharp eyes may have seen them on television scaling the steepest mountains of Europe and the U.S.A.

Stinger Flamme Rouge

Stingers are the swiftest wheels on the road - In 2010 they were piloted to a dozen road and TT national titles and ridden to victory in countless Pro tour races. We’re not the only ones who have spent time in the wind tunnel testing stingers. Two independent magazines and several pro tour level teams proved that Stinger wheels are the fastest... again. All 2011 Stingers are SCT (Stability Control Technology) tuned.

Jet Flamme Rouge

Jet Flamme Rouge wheels represent the finest clincher aero wheel technology in the world. For 2011, they feature 1K carbon aero sections, scandium C2 outer rim, titanium skewer, hub hardware, new rear wheel lacing pattern, and a new grease port rear hub. Stability Control Technology is also applied to our aero shapes providing sure footed handling in crosswinds. Ride like a pro, go Flamme Rouge.

Jet

It’s a long way from the Tuesday night crit to the Ironman Championships at Kona, but riders on Jets keep racking up wins at both. Hybrid alloy/carbon construction offers the braking performance and durability of an alloy rim and the speed that comes from our exceptional aero designs. For 2011 Jets are tuned with Hed’s proprietary SCT (Stability Control Technology) - adding improved crosswind handling to their stellar ride and cornering characteristics.

H3 Flamme Rouge

The H3 has propelled more Grand Tour riders to the podium than any other wheel. Why? It is not a secret. The H3 is the ultimate in all wind conditions. Whether it is a headwind, crosswind, or tailwind, the H3 is fast. Other wheels (even our own) are certainly speedy, but all other wheels have a specific wind range where they excel. The H3 offers speed no matter where the wind is. The pros know this, and many count on the H3 as their no compromise TT wheel choice.

Jet Disc Flamme Rouge

So what makes the Jet disc the fastest clincher wheel in the world? Wind tunnel optimized lenticular sides with a toroidal bulge near the rim edge for starters; secondly, our C2 rim, to reduce rolling resistance and increase corning grip; and lastly, a composite/spoked hybrid construction, which increases lateral and torsional stiffness for drive train efficiency. We did our work, the rest is up to you.

Stinger Disc Flamme Rouge

The fastest disc ever - Unrivaled performance is what the Stinger disc is all about and is the product of 25 years of wind tunnel development. The Stinger disc finds itself in a category by itself. Unique shaping delivers the aerodynamics component while the construction technique delivers maximum lateral stiffness. This combination makes for a real world disc that is simply unbeatable. Proof of this is evident in the fact that four Pro tour level teams have been winning grand tour stages and national titles on them. With or without Hed stickers on them the Stinger disc delivers on it’s promises.

Corsair Aerobars

With the combination of wind tunnel tuned aerodynamics, light weight, stiffness, and an unmatched range of adjustability, we guarantee that you will not fit better or go faster on another bar. Our Corsair full aero bar is our lightest and stiffest offering to date (585g including brake levers). New for 2011 we offer the Corsair base bar compatible with Shimano’s Di2 shift/brake levers. This also means it is well adapted for track use or brake levers of your choice. The base bar is compliant with the UCI’s 3:1 aspect ratio rule.

Black Dog Drop Aerobars

It should go without saying that Hed’s aerobars are extremely aerodynamic, but we’ll just lay it out: they are, even by themselves. But, position and power are where races are won or lost. Like fingerprints, no riders have the same optimum TT position, so we offer three base bars, three t extension bars, 3 axis adjustability for armrests, and 2 armrest mounts, plus width and angle micro adjustability. Maybe not quite as many possible positions as there are fingerprints, but pretty damn close. Drop base bar for a lower, more aggressive climb and start position. Molded in ergo grips. Built with integrated carbon brake levers with return spring and interior brake cable routing.
